Close call in OT
Harvard men's ice hockey
Harvard men's hockey fell in overtime to Northeastern at
the Beanpot in Boston on Sun., Feb. 1. Harvard junior Matt Scorsune hit a
40-foot slap shot to tie the game with 4.5 seconds remaining. But the Crimson's
comeback fell short at 4:35 in overtime, when Northeastern sophomore Brian
Cummings knocked in a rebound to prevent Harvard from returning for the
championship on Mon., Feb. 8. Last year, Harvard also found itself in overtime
at the Beanpot semifinals, but that time the Crimson defeated Boston College in
the last minute to advance to the finals.
