Convenient pizza

If New Haven ever finds itself at a loss for pizza joints, maybe it could get some tips from Spanish fast food giant Telepizza. Last week the firm patented a vending machine that defrosts and cooks a small pizza in less than two minutes.

Publicity is not a problem: the machine detects passers-by and shouts, "Hey, want a pizza?" in 10 languages. The pizzas are small but only cost $1.80 each, or about one million
pesetas.

Even better than two-ply

Ladies, are you tired of waiting in long lines for the bathroom? Meet "Lady P," the world's first female urinal. It was even designed by a woman.

The Dutch equipment company Sphinx unveiled this revolutionary device last month. The unit is made up of a ceramic pot, a frosted partition wall, a space for a toilet paper dispenser, and a disposal unit, along with storage space for bags and jackets.

"Lady P is aimed at the modern, self-confident woman," the company claims. "Thanks to Lady P, women can now pee in a comfortable, hygienic, and quick way." Lady P plans to install the urinal in public places like airports, train stations, shopping centers, and roadside restaurants.

Squeals on wheels

Staying in Vienna? Need some companionship while you travel around and check out the city? Looking for love in all the wrong places in Europe? Call Erotik Taxi.

Europe's first mobile bordello opened in Vienna last fall, but it's already expanding its services to a second limousine of love.

The company's manager pointed out that his service is not for the average tourist looking to check out Vienna's sightseeing attractions. "They're busy making out en route, they haven't got time to take in the sights," he said.

The manager describes most of clients as "businessmen, who use the service to pick them up at the airport or ferry them around the city." Connecticut Limo and Prime Time Shuttle, eat your hearts out.
