Silliman

Let's face it, Silliman is the best residential college in the world, and therefore, we will rule IMs this year. Make sense? It will, all too soon, and all too clearly. Prepare for our inevitable first victory drink from the Tyng Cup in 25 years. With a windfall of avid 2003ers, the big bad block will improve on its ninth-to-fourth jump of 1998-1999 and check all naysayers into the Smackdown Hotel!

The red, yellow, and green return two top-notch soccer squads; the men are led by Johnny "Scallopine" Scafidi '01 and Daniel "Godzilla" Guss '01. SM-TD soccer women have taken the shirts the last two years and are out to do it again under Nicole "the Neutralizer" Castonguay '00, "Raging" Isabel Romero '02, Sarah "Violent Femme" Vollbracht '02, and Anamaria "Demolisher" Delacruz '02. Anchoring the gridiron for the Sillimanders are Kamran "Kamshaft" Ansari '00 and Greg "G-dawg Wierzynski" '00. Leading the most formidable volleyball program in all the land are Ming "The Merciless" Zhou '00, Cariann "Jackie" Chan '01, as well as standouts Ernest "Stone Cold" Morris '00 and Eri "The Equalizer" Sato '02. And look for the ping-pongers, lead by Saad "International Man of Mystery" Khanani '02 and James "the Rocket" Rosenblum '02, to engineer a table tennis revolution.

Silliman plays harder and has more fun than anyone else, and for those reasons, we will not fall. But if we are to grasp our sixth Tyng, we need all Sillimanders to come out—whether it be to bone up on an old sport or learn a new one. So play IMs, have a little fun, and I guarantee you, we'll shock the intramural world so bad they won't know what hit 'em.

(Compiled by the longest-serving IM secretary at Yale and his formidable sidekick.)
