Berkeley

Berkeley remains on the move, defying its tradition of slow fall seasons. Last week women's soccer posted yet another win, while ping pong made some small gains. Due to the unfortunate (or fortunate, for our opponents) intervention of Hurricane Floyd, the BK football squads were unable to unleash their full wrath. Once the weather cleared up, the powerhouse known as the BK coed volleyball team was ready to flex its muscles. Led by the hitting prowess of Garrett "Big Man in the Middle" Weinberg '00 and backed up by masterful serves from Jeremy "Ace" Martin '03 and captain Howard Han '02, the squad picked up another victory to boost its record to 3-0. Also pitching in were setter supreme Kristina Weaver '03, who worked her usual magic, setting up outside hitters Meredith John-ston '00 and Gabriela Salazar '03 for a few key kills. Meanwhile, back row specialist Regina Sieber '02 displayed her endless stamina. Technically, the game was won by forfeit and these are merely the results of a scrimmage, but I digress...Will Berkeley volleyball continue its strong season? Tune in next week to find out.

(Compiled by Howard Han, who would like to buy a yacht with a flag saying, "Chillin' the Most," then rock it up and down the coast.)
