Tough defender Harvard football

Harvard linebacker Isaiah Kacy-venski '00 was named Ivy League defensive player of the week. Against Columbia on Sat., Sept. 18, the Crimson shut out the Lions for the game's final 56 minutes behind key plays from Kacyvenski en route to a 24-7 rout. He finished the game with 14 tackles and two deflected passes. He also intercepted a pass that led to Harvard's first score and recovered a fumble that the Cantabs also converted. Kacyvenski now has 273 tackles, making him Harvard's all-time career leader.

Tough luck Cornell women's soccer

For the second time in her three years at Cornell, forward Radha Agrawal '00 tore the anterior cruciate ligament in her knee in Cornell's season opener and will miss the rest of the season. She missed all but the first game of the 1997 season with an ACL tear before returning to play in every game last fall. The Big Red, despite Agrawal's injury, opened the season with a win over SUNY-StonyBrook.
