Morse

A certain Saybrook IM secretary, we'll call him "Foolio," suggested last week that Saybrook was "so wide you can't get around it, so low you can't get under it," etc. What Foolio forgot is that Morse will go right through the walls of Saybrook, son, and hit them with the Bop Gun. Luckily for Saybrook, the matches against Morse were virtually all rained out.

Despite the rainouts, Morse has continued to rack up points from both expected and surprising places. Leading the list of surprise successes was coed volleyball. By winning its final game of the regular season, the team, led by captain Uma Thanarajasingam '00, squeaked into the playoffs.

Expected wins this week included men's soccer's victories over JE and Silliman, improving the team's record to 3-0. Tiberio Frisoli '02 continued to lead the charge. Coed football has been doing its job the past two weeks as well. After defeating a decent JE team, the team walked all over a bitter Silliman squad. After Morse jumped out to a 26-7 lead in the first half, a select few Sillimanders (who could have just as easily gone to St. Alban's, the way they were dressed) bitterly complained about our toying with them, but to no avail. The team's foundation has been its female contingent, which includes Sara Perkins '01, Kaitlyn Gumpper '03, Sam Warshauer '02, Sarah Smith '03, and Eileen Gibson '00.

Men's football is still holding its own, despite dropping a very questionable game to Silliman by a score of 0-6. Ping-pong came up with a big victory over Silliman on Monday to solidify its record. Yves Dharamraj '02 and Shivan Mehta '01 continue to lead the team. Women's soccer keeps on truckin', earning points through persistence. All in all, we've got our heads on straight. Morse has obviously got its booty body ready for the plush funk.
