Pierson

Pierson continues to represent on the fields and on the courts. Coed football beat up on Berkeley, getting spectacular receptions by Jason "Wheels" Pessel '03 and Andy "Interception" Borberly '00, and another outstanding showing by Erika "Spiral" Greenfest '00 in her first try playing QB. Women's cross country featured Lindsay "Speedy" Stradley '03 as the top finisher. Ashley "Ultimate" Hayden '01 finished strong, but sadly no Piersonites showed up for the men's race (come on y'all, it's only 3 miles) and we were forced to forfeit.

A stunned, undefeated coed volleyball team fell to Davenport in the playoffs. It's rumored that several of the D-port studs were walk-ons from the AVP tour. During the season, Steve "Money" Shafer '01 anchored the team with guaranteed precision, while Alya "Mama" Adamany '02 came through with some excellent passing.

Finally, men's soccer lost a close match to TD, but looks to rebound against Trumbull on Fri., Oct. 15. The team was anchored by Co-Captains Tim "Where's the" Lovelock '01, and Schot "Yeah, I spell my name weird" Hannan '01, and also saw strong performances from Jonas "Cy Young" Heymann '02, who threw the ball the length of the field, and Brad "Slide Tackle" Shy '02.

To all you Piersonites, the fall season is almost over, so come out for your last chance to play your favorite sports!
