"Be very afraid," warned the gatekeeper, "for beyond these walls lie fearsome creatures, the likes of which sleep nowhere else on this campus." "What forces be these?" the naive stranger asked. "This block is the battleground of Sillimanders," came the ominous reply, and the stranger fell silent."You may hear them strike with paddles of sponge, as they lay claim to the third position at the end of the fall harvest. The defenders of BFA were consumed mere days ago by Saad `Spookmeister' Khanani '02, Amit `Acolyte' Sabharwal '03, Lucien `Lacerations' Lefcourt '02, Louis `Knot-tying' Tompros '00, Gina `Warlock' Wilkinson '03, Christine `Catacomb' Anthony '01, Kesang `Soulstealer' Sherpa '03, Cariann `Chimera' Chan '01, Leslie `Necromancer' Neeland '01, and Vanessa `Horror' Herrera '03."
The stranger, fighting gut-wrenching fear, continued to listen to the gatekeeper's admonitions. "Watch out, brave seeker, for the plague that is STD soccer," he said. "Champions of their realm 3 years run-ning, their deadly legs entrap all who enter the webs they weave. Fear the mere mention of Nicole `Conjurer' Castonguay '00, Christine `The Gagger' Gagliardi '00, Anamaria `Devil' Delacruz '02, `Summoner' Sarah Vollbracht '02, Keally `Damned' Dewitt '03, and `Living Death' Lauren Keane '03."
At this, the novice shivered intensely. Feeding off his anxiety, the gatekeeper grasped the young journeyer by the collar, readying his last warning, "And those wielding mighty racquets of metal, fresh from sucking the blood of Branford and Berkeley, will show you no mercy!"
Upon his words, the souls of our beloved Captains Andy "Likes people" Hung '01 and "Assassin" Abbi Phillips '01 rose from their graves and summoned zombie warriors from their catacombs. Beasts like Kurt "Kastrator" Ma '02, Phil "Silence of the" Lam '01, Michel "Slayer" Shamy '02, "Ghoulish" Greg Wierzynski '00, "Deadly" Darius Fewlass '01, Caleb "The Serial" Weaver '01, Edwin "Dagger" Jager '01, Katie "Axe-murderer" Aldrich '03, Amy "Machete" Mechur '01, Antonia "Cutter" Chen '02, Mrs. "Bandit" Brownell, and the all-too-deadly Master "Butcherer" Brownell.
As these demigods of Silliman rose, the novice bolted, acknowledging their might with his fear and by wetting his pants.
