Branford

Well folks, the fall IM season has come to a close with Branford finishing a mere seventh in the Tyng point tally but first in the hearts and minds of its IM troopers. We've had a great time getting funky on the fields these last few months like an ol' batch of collard greens. And now, the Academy would like to give a few awards to the people and teams that made intramurals a little more memorable this fall.

The NCAA Investigation Award: the Branford golf team picked up this honor early in the season. We still don't know what all the fuss was about. Forty-two lost Tyng points—if it wasn't such a funny fiasco we just might cry. The Lilith Fair Award goes to coed tennis. These hard court heroes had trouble getting male bodies out to play this season. The You Got Tyng Points, but Lost Cool Points Award is an easy call. Silliman men's football decided they'd make Branford forfeit 'cause our guys were two—count 'em, two—minutes past the deadline. Those guys better not expect any Christmas cards from us.

The Missing in Action Award goes to Aa-Ron "DMC" Zamost '01. This former IM diehard was conspicuously absent from the fields this fall. We're calling out to you, buddy. See you at the gym this winter. More Hardcore than a XXX Movie Award goes to the small but dedicated groups of guys who barely kept men's soccer alive this fall. Congratulations. The Bo Jackson Award: We'd like to give this to Justin "Get your groo"Vaughn '02, who brings his plethora of talents to just about every IM sport imaginable. And finally, the Worst Excuse for Missing IMs Award goes to the frosh ladies, who skipped ping-pong to watch Dawson's Creek. 90210 is excusable, but Dawson's?

Well, that'll do it for the fall. BCC prez Jada "If" Yuan "my body, and you think I'm sexy" '00 has already promised to help the BFA contingent "get jiggy" this winter. We'd like to see Jada's fellow Branfordians follow her lead. It's go time.
