Silliman

This winter, one emotion will reign supreme in the House of Payne. Fear. Fear is a ravaging Sillimander, cloaked in the new ash-gray, crest-bearing, battle armor designed by Meredith Reese"'s Pieces" '03.

Fear is the amount of pant-wetting in the Lanman Center by opposing volleyball squads. They'll flood the whole damn gym when facing the likes of Ernest "Powerhouse" Morris '00, Chris "So-Cal Stud" Lee '00, Loren "Wizard" Wengerd '01, "Play it again" Sam Stern '01, Tom "The Tower" Whitney '02, Augustine "His Airness" Kim '02, and Alexis "Sureshot" Surovov '02. Fear is the sheer sound and fury of the loudest volleyballers known to womankind, with "Commander" Cariann Chan '01, "Sergeant" Samantha Trepel '02, and Allison "General" Green '02 leading the noise brigade from hell on a run for the shirts.

Fear is a women's hoops squad returning virtually every last Backstreet Boys-loving baller from last season. You can't run from the likes of "Nimble" Nicole Castonguay '00, "Lane-cruising" Chris Gagliardi '00, and Susan "Enforcer" Liu '00, Chrissy "Trajan" Anthony '01 and Jen "Jumpshot" Garstka '01, and sophomores Sarah "Long Distance" Vollbracht '02, Kevika "Crossover" Amar '02, and Severn "Cuts double-teams like butter" Cullis-Suzuki '02.

And lastly, fear is a big bad blockster in a hockey mask. Blood bounces on ice when the Sillipuckers, anchored by Caleb "Watch the hat tricks" Weaver '01 and Anne "Goals on a silver" Platt"er" '01, as well as Dean Hugh "Fear takes classes from me" Flick.

These are the many faces of fear. Fear in the water (just try to take our swimming title away from us). Fear on ice. Fear on wood. More than 400 points worth of fear, all waiting for your wimpy ass to introduce itself. (Compiled by two of the feared.)
