A stand-out member of the field hockey and lacrosse teams, Walton was injured over Memorial Day weekend in a car accident that left her in a coma, unable to breathe on her own. The former two-sport Ivy League Rookie of the Year has improved dramatically since then and is now alert and able to communicate with family and friends. Walton will take this year off as she continues to recover in a hospital near her family's Chestnut hill, Mass. residence.
