Calhoun

Sue "I climbed a mountain and came down a" Vanderhill '01 does not need to practice. "Practice is for mortals," she told her old hockey coach John Marchetti before Sunday's intramural golf tournament. "In fact, I haven't picked up a golf club since last year's tournament." Sure enough, the cocky Canadian was able to back up her bold words. On the last hole, Vanderhill told teammates Garren "Tees Victory" Givens '04, Peter "The Swedish Iceman" Jarnebrant '04 and Dan "Shatzi" Fleschner '01 to step aside. She coolly stepped up to the ball and drained a 20 foot putt that put Calhoun into a four-way tie for first. (The tiebreaking method that bumped Calhoun down to second remains a source of great frustration and dismay to Sue and her teammates.) Elsewhere on the golf course John "Vaughn" Hyman '01, Jeremy "Long Ball" Powers '03, Eric "I have fish on my shirt" Schneider '03 and Aubrey "G.M.N.R.B." Jennings '01 had a terrible day on the greens. On the bright side, John snapped the head off his three-iron, and everyone was amused. The clubhead was not found.
