Davenport

Oh baby. Who's that perched so unusually high up, down in that bottom left hand corner of the page? Could it be...D-port? To quote Master T. from Monday's DCC meeting, "I wasn't even born last time we were this high." In the last couple weeks we have chronicled the adventures of all our high-profile teams. The teams that get the glory. The teams that buy kegs and hire "escort services." These are the folks from Davenpong. And no one is more real than esteemed Co-captain David Davidson '02, who grabbed the ballpoint pen like the workhorse that he is and drafted this ode to his comrades: Our talent is incredible. Mike Lazarus '04 has risen to the occasion and is undefeated in men's No. 1 singles! Mariko Boswell '04 is the boss of women's singles! Jenny Bernell '03 has been berning up the opposition (without shoes), and she wants you all to know that she is athletic, dammit (we ping-pongers know already). Here's the P-R on Nathaniel Pincus-Roth '04: he is en fuego. Moreover, Gina LaRossa '01 is back once again to LaRoast her women's singles. Peter Shattuck '03 will shatter you with his killer serve, and Joe Ross '04 is ever dependable. Jen Michelstein '03 just plain rocks. Oh, and don't look now, but Agata Marczak '01 ain't reffin' anymore, and she's taking no prisoners in her return to the table. Not only that, but Kevin Tran '04 is every bit as tough as he sounds (he sounds real tough). Christina Gucwa '03 is a savior of women's doubles, and not only does Ruby Ramirez '04 have a kick-ass alliterative name, but she'll kick your ass in ping-pong too. Led by fearless captains Xinglei "My last name is" Shen '01 and David "David" Davidson '02, Davenpong represents. Next time, maybe Cap'n Sam will get his act together and we'll here from the gridiron. 'Til then, keep wearing red. For D-port.
