Silliman

God-Silla suffered many blows last week, most of them at the hands of Yale College professors. Midterms drastically reduced the already thin numbers available for games, and men's football died for lack of athletes after only four stalwarts made the trek to the fields. That same day, SilliTennis rode into the valley against the Saybrugians. Outgunned and outmanned, such heroes as Scott "O.J. with a racquet" Simpson '04, Katie "More Bounce to the Ounce"Aldrich '03, Kenny "The Swan" Canfield '03, Augustine "Big Pun" Kim '01 and your humble narrator went down swinging under the enemy artillery. Men's soccer came crashing to the earth following its 2-1 win over Branford, dropping a 0-2 contest to the Ashé-holes across the street. Sinton "Wavy Gravy" Vignos '01 led the men's soccer Bong Brigade in its typical enforcer routine, giving rise to TD's newest cheer, "If you don't let go of him, I'll kick you in the balls." The biggest winners this past week were the female SilliSoccer stars, who rolled to victory—yet again! Doesn't look like they'll stop rolling any time soon. God-Silla may be hurting, but don't think too much of that. For, as we all know, no other college is safe!!
