Bad break

Princeton Football

A 35-21 loss to Harvard on Sat., Oct. 21 may have cost the Tigers the season; on the final play of the game starting quarterback David Splithoff '04 suffered a broken jaw, sidelining him for the rest of the season. Splithoff scored all three Tiger touchdowns against the Crimson and had already set numerous Princeton records including most consecutive completions.

Silver lining

Penn Wrestling

Penn alumnus Brandon Slay '98, picked up the gold metal in wrestling this week, a full month after the Olympics ended, when German Alexander Leipold's drug tests came back positive. Leipold, who defeated Slay at Sydney, was immediately stripped of his metal by the International Olympic Committee, making Slay the 167-pound champion.
