Could Penn women beat Yale men?

Men's and women's basketball

The Ivy League media unanimously selected the Penn Quakers to finish atop the league in men's basketball, with Princeton coming in second in the poll. The Quakers, who won the title last season, will have to defend their championship without star Michael Jordan '00, who traded in his Penn duds for a spot on the Boston Celtics bench. The Bulldogs, who will have a loss of their own to cope with due to the premature retirement of guard Onaje Woodbine, BK '02, were picked to finish last.

The same media poll also picked the female Quakers to take the Ivy League title, although the press was less sure of their success, as some cast their first place votes for Harvard and the two-time defending champion Dartmouth women. The Yale women fared better than the men, as they were picked to finish fourth.
