Chepiga

Confucius said, "Chepiga is a God." Yale women say, "Chepiga is a stud." Besides acknowledging my supremacy, Confucius and Yale women actually have a lot in common—long hair, a high IQ, the occasional unfortunate bit of facial hair around the chin, and neither has won a hockey game in quite a while. But women's hockey wins its next two ($500 each), as do the men ($500 each). Giants and Jets win, too ($500 each). The same bets? I know. But Confucius said, "Only the most wise and the most foolish do not change." Thank God I'm the most wise, right? Last Week: +$2,700. Current Balance: $11,660.

Diskant

It's put-up or shut-up time in the NFL, where the race for the playoffs is on. St. Louis has Kurt Warner back this week—they're ready to rumble; the Panthers will fall victim to the defending champs ($800). Vinny and the Jets need a win to stay in. They'll blast the Colts in front of Dennis Miller and a prime time audience Monday night ($500). Raiders and Bucs both win ($500 each) and in the game of the week, the Giants continue their run towards the postseason with a win over the Redskins ($500). Oh, and Anna's sweet attitude sours after a weekend of "it-tastes-like-clorox" fun. Last Week: +$1,600. Current Balance: $12,300.

Dolinsky

Teddy's been complaining that I'm too mean to him; I'll be nice this week, but for future reference, if you can't take the heat, Diskant, stay out of the kitchen. Let's turn to Chepiga, who's been out of commission, nursing a "cold." I guess the ladies will have to wait until his "cold sores" go away. But Yale teams will rock the wide world of sports this weekend: men's hockey takes down Colgate ($300), and the women show up Mercyhurst ($500). Men's squash lets the rackets fly against Franklin and Marshall ($600). See, Teddy, no nasty comments about your deviant sexuality, bed-wetting tendencies or stiletto-heel fetish. Last Week: +$1,800. Current Balance: $13,000.

Letitia Stein, Guest

As the temperature falls, Yale is heating up. The men's track team will have a strong season opener at BU this weekend ($500), and Mercyhurst will give women's hockey a mercy win, 'cause they'll be waiting a decade for their next victory ($10,000). Statistical probability notwithstanding, Stiles counselors will get more play than their frosh this weekend ($500), and the Pink Lady will run loose with the Moose if it snows on Saturday ($750). Look to the YDN basketball team and ringer Rhudy to soundly trounce the hapless Herald hoopsters again this spring ($1,000). Last Week: +$0. Current Balance: $12,395.
