Berkeley

This was an exciting week for BK as we resumed our usual behavior by bulldozing Trumbull.

Women's volleyball started with the mighty serves of Sharon Hwang '04. Margo Harrison '04 flexed her all-around skills. Lauren Gulka '01 set up Elizabeth Collister's '02 vicious spikes. JeaNe Ward '03 and Cindy Lee '04 rounded off the offense. The Trumbull ladies had no choice but to crumble like their college.

Women's basketball continued the domination of Trumbull despite being down a player. Cindy Lee '04 won the award for most energetic with her steals and lay-ups. Rachel Blitzer '02, Jessie Morgan '02, and Regina "I have endless stamina" Sieber '02 worked their hardest to win. The Trumbull girls learned not to mess with the biddies of the BK Lounge.

Men's volleyball scored its fastest win thanks to the hapless boys of Trumbull. Actually, it was due to the efforts of Jimmy Chang '04, Darrell Hartman '03, Brian Johnson '01, Jason Lee '01, Gary Thompson '03, and Ben Reiter '02. Howard Han '02 didn't actually play, but he coached, and that counts for something, right?

The fantastic freshman foursome of Jimmy Chang '04, Damon Nakamura '04, Daniel Kim '04 and Dustin West '04 have been working the quadrangle offense against the opposition in B-hoops. But don't forget the old guys: Captain Ben Reiter '02, Parin Parikh '02, and Thad Novak '02 have been putting up their share of points.

For C-hoops, Chris Pierce '01, Jason Lee '01, "Big" Jimmy Chang '01, Ricky Beyers '03, James Herron '03, Sid "Check out the size of my portfolio" Kumar '02, and Brian Johnson '01 have been taking the court by storm, knocking the crap out of all comers, especially the sad squad from Trumbull. Bring it on!

As for A-hoops, just wait for next year, when my man Onaje "Oh!" Woodbine '02 becomes eligible.

Overall, BK has been showing a return to dominance. For all of you facing us in the weeks to come, I have one thing to say to you: "Stay out of our dining hall!"
