Calhoun

I just ran into Luis "Don't ever ask questions like that again" Costa '01 marching off to Payne Whitney Gymnasium to play intramural volleyball. He told me that he had been feeling under-the-weather, but ever the proud warrior, he was still willing to brave the elements to serve his college. I was struck by his sense of dedication and selflessness in the face of severe medical peril. I have no doubt that any of his fellow Calhoun denizens would do likewise. Such is the power of CC IMs. It is regenerative, a life force.

Given Calhoun's performance to date in the winter season, one might be inclined to quote from the Gospel of Luke, intoning, "Physician, heal thyself." A valid point, yes. In response, I quote Kirk Franklin and the Nu Nation: "Hold on; change is coming."

It's almost time for bowling season, and we all know what that means: Calhoun is about to be to the other 11 residential colleges what the 49ers were to the Broncos in Super Bowl XXIV. It's going to be ugly, and we're going to run up the score. Led by stalwarts Angela "Isn't" Strom- "Thurmond just so cute?" Weber '03, Alexander "Suc"Kass '03, and Tony "Call me T-spoon, ladies" Cotto '03, CC bowling is sure to make pins all over Amity Lanes tremble in its presence.

Elder statesman Daniel "Krunk 2 Def" Fleschner '01 on his squad: "They're a good football team, they're gonna win a lot of football games, and...wait, who are you?" Y'all get the message. We're coming after you, and we're not stopping until we achieve full nullification.

(Compiled by a descendant of the High Sheriff of Imperial Polk County.)
