Ezra Stiles

Over winter break, Stiles once again tore apart the competition in all intramural events. In a dramatic series of unpublicized games, Stiles was able to do what Yale's varsity teams could not. Our powerhouse women's hoops team took on the men's team from Cal and, unlike the varsity squad, held on to the lead in the second half for the win.

Stiles hockey defeated Michigan State twice and would be ranked first in the nation if the team was a member of the NCAA. As for the regular season, things look good. For those of you who do not play IMs, you should know that you are not only missing some good exercise, but some intelligent and thought-provoking online debate. Here's an example:

C-hoops Captain Matt "Stew" Stewart '01: "In summary: welcome back; game tomorrow at 7 p.m. (be there at 6:45 p.m. for an extended Sang joke session); and Sang is weird. Fun fact: with Aaron Goldhamer's admission into the Ethics Politics and Economics Family, we could now field an entire Stiles C-hoops team of EP&E majors: me, Bush, Sesser, Aaron, and T-Bone. Just kidding Ben!"

Co-Captain Sang "Woo" Lee '01: "Thank you, Stew, for once more demonstrating your C-hoops leadership and charisma. Not only do you make timely announcements, but you also lead the team in fouls (countless), turnovers (butterfingers), bitching (all game), and forgetting to wear your uniform (three out of three games)."

C-Hoops player Ben: "That EP&E admissions committee will pay. Oh, they shall. You all just wait." See what you're missing?
