It may be cold outside, but the 'Brook is hot! We're off to a whopping 8-1 start in 2001, and poor JE found out the hard way that when you mess with us, you will get burned, baby.

We spanked 'em in A-hoops, we crushed 'em in B-hoops, we embarrassed 'em in C-hoops, we destroyed 'em in women's v-ball—and that was only Monday! Later in the week, the Saybrook men beat the Spiders' previously undefeated volleyball team behind the awesome play of Sasha "JE Sux...without me" Waring '03, Nick "Shape of My Heart" Brown '03, and Stedy "Rockin' all night long" Garber '03.

We bested another undefeated JE team when our nasty women's hoops team bent the Suxsters over its knee and gave them a whuppin'. Leading the way were Momo "Money" Akade '04, "We all need somebody to" Aileen "on" Daly '01, Roxy "Lady" Stumpf '01 and Caroline "On my mind" Nathan '04.

And we even beat JE in—dare I say it?— ice hockey!!!! Yeah, the Saybrugians finally won a game on the ice, thanks to the magnificent performances of Charlie "'s Angels" Resor '04, Gene "tically superior" Cartwright '04, Captain Meredith Whip- "Your ass" ple '03, Alex "Steven" Segal '04, and Erica "The Brick Wall" Freed '03. Congratulations, team, you rock.

Well, it's a brand new year, but it's the same old story—Saybrook rules IMs in every way imaginable. Not even Fusco can bring us down.
