Silliman

"We only had the minimum three girls show up. We went to our fourth netminder of the season, a man who hasn't played the position in over a year. Our then-leading scorer injured his leg in a freak fall just before the game. The refs called everything. We were shut out well into the second half. We smoked Pierson 2-0.

"Godsilla now stands 2-2-1 in the water. Thomas Whitney '02 posted the goose egg in goal. Jordan Golinkoff '01 got the game winner and Jesse Olsen added one for effect (actually, it was just really lucky). Ben Olsen's '03 leg is okay. And everything is just peachy.

"Your leading scorers for the end of the week are: (1) Ben's brother ; 4 goals, 3 assists, 7 points; (2) Ben; 3 goals, 3 assists, 6 points; (3) Lauren Keane '03; 3 assists, 3 points.

"Leading Ray Lewises (without the murder charges): Katie Pinder '01, Dan Guss '01, Lauren Keane, Claire Brickell '03.

"That should be enough for a damn Herald article. Peace." Damn straight, Jesse. Just a couple more things. I have to mention our total thrashing of the hapless TD "hockey team." The "brave-hearted lions" were slaughtered 8-0, with Silliman racking up at least 40 shots on goal. Scorers included Sean "Kic" Kass '04, Mark Marion '04, Katie "I play every single IM sport possible with an unrivaled passion" Aldrich '03, and Silliman fellow and physics professor Colin Gay. In case you're confused, that last IM picture of the week was Silliman bowling captain Mike "I sew with an unrivaled passion" Mackenzie '03, who made that Sillimander suit with his own two hands. This Fri., Feb. 2, the inspired bowling squad attempts to beat its own high-score of 626.

Fresh off its first victory, C-hoops marched on to face Trumbull, only to win with a TC forfeit. Talk about a winning streak! Mo "Don't mess with the hair" Nasr '04 and Ted "I don't like to play in Barcelona, but" Rounsaville '03 led the squad with steals and turn-around J's. Peace.

(Compiled by the superbowl champion Baltimore Ravens.)
