Valentine's Day, Shmalentine's Day. All I know about next Wednesday is that Fitzpatrick and Darcy are betting on their own horses (let's hope they ride well) and that the Flyers are going to give the Islanders some rough luvin' ($500). I don't know if the boys can handle all my co-editors have planned for the special night, but the L.A. Lakers will definitely be bigger and badder than Philly can stand ($700). How cute would it be if men's and women's fencing foiled Columbia? ($500 each). Last Week: +$1,600. Current Balance: $7,100.

Fitzpatrick

Okay, lovely ladies, as Valentine's Day draws near, I am feeling full of love for you, so I'm going to avoid the mean-spirited rumors. Speaking of love, I'm feeling it for Iowa (so much love for that fine Midwestern state) over Northwestern in men's hoops ($300). I'll also take Stanford over Oregon State ($300) and Wake Forest over Florida State ($250). Who will be waking up with whom in the aftermath of Subrosa on Valentine's Day? I'll put $50 that a fair share of the Yale population is missing from their morning classes on V-Day. Last Week: +$1,600. Current Balance: $7,100.

Wiecks

How kind of Erin "Better tight than loose" Fitzpatrick to avoid gossip this week; however, I'll bet $200 that there is at least one incestuous Herald hook-up on Friday—after all, Valentine's Day looms and love is in the air. Onto athletics...West over East in the NBA All-Star game ($500), UNC over Maryland ($300), Arizona over Washington State ($1,000), and Stanford tops Oregon State ($1,000) in college hoops, and both fencing teams beat Columbia ($400 each). Last Week: +$200. Current Balance: $6,300.

Ah, life! Ah, love! Ah, 'tis bad all is doom'd./For I, like Pitt, shall make these ladies swoon/Their lech'rous eyes, so little like the sun/Will lead them "through" more Bucks than Iverson ($800 on the 76ers)/Oh Manic Erin! Thee, Outlaw! Do be tamed! (Outlaws over Maniax, $500)/Darcy doth Volunteer like that team's name ($300 on the Tenn. b-ball men vs. Miss.)/At Anna, however, well my pen is lock'd/Insert a joke here about shuttlecocks. Last Week: +$100. Current Balance: $2,720.
