Team sets an Ivy record

BY MISSY BLAKELEY

Yale gymnastics bounced into the record books on Sun., Feb. 4, setting both University and Ivy League records with an overall team score of 192.3. Yale was outstanding in both individual and team events. Shoshanna Engel, DC '03, was Yale's all-around top top individual performer with a score of 38.75. Andrea Wolf, JE '03, Jen Gold, TD '03, and Jamie Green, TD '04, also had strong performances in the all-around competition. "We're starting to really reach our potential as a team," Engel explained.

Captain Lisa Crowley, ES '01, attributes the Bulldog's improvement over the course of the season to the team's depth. "The freshmen have made a tremendous impact right from the start," Crowley said. Waverly Dolaman, DC '04, Trista Miller, CC '04, and Lauren Stephens, TC '04 have contributed to the team in various events, while Green has dazzled in all-around competition."We are excelling at a rapid rate, and I think that will continue. It has been a tremendous opportunity to witness the progress this team has made, and I can't wait to see where it'll go from here," Crowley said.

On Sun., Feb. 11, Yale travels to Springfield, Mass. to compete against Brockport and Rhode Island College. The Bulldogs are also hosting the Ivy League Championships on Sat., Feb. 24. Yale plans to overtake their upcoming competitors by leaps and bounds—and have fun doing it. —Missy Blakeley
