Ezra Stiles

The winter season is just about wrapped up, and Stiles will take a well-deserved spring break. There's a rumor that all the other colleges have vacation, too, but they don't matter, so who cares? Speaking of colleges that don't matter, JE men's hoops wishes it didn't have to ____ [verb] Stiles earlier this week. Stiles A-hoops pulled off the upset with only five men, ____ ["ing" verb] a demoralized JE squad by one point. In B-hoops, the men of ES proved once again that bigger ain't always better, ending the season with their fourth straight ____ [noun]. C-hoops lost a ____ [adjective] game, but still qualified for the Big Dance next week. While the men's hoops teams might not have won any regular season ____ [noun], all three qualified for postseason action.

But enough about the men. Once again, the women have been the ____ [noun] of the season. In hoops, they had another outstanding ____ [noun], losing a couple tough games but still finishing at the top of the standings. In volleyball, the women____ [verb, past tense] in third place with an 8-3 record.

Enough about winter. After break, the spring season starts. Last year, Stiles had to forfeit many games (something we won't do again) because not enough girls came to play. That's right, our IM teams, like so many of the guys who play for them, suffered from a lack of women. That's not right. In fact, it's downright wrong (figure that one out). What I'm trying to say here is that Stiles women should start getting ready now to play some soccer, softball, ultimate frisbee, field hockey, and all those other sports we play in the spring. Because if they don't, the moose is going to be ____ ["ing" verb] pissed off.

(Compiled by an IM secretary who wonders why a parent stole his socks.)
