Isn't the third time a charm?

Harvard senior Dora Gyorffy will compete in Heptagonals this weekend with an added incentive for victory: She has been awarded the Heptagonals Most Outstanding Athlete award for the past three years and is in search of her fourth MVP title. Last year Gyorffy matched a collegiate national record with her 6'5.5'' high jump and placed third in the triple jump. She also represented Hungary in the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

You can't quell this Quaker

For the five years prior to the arrival of Penn basketball star Diana Caramanico '01, the team's record was 38-92. Since then, Penn has ascended to 60-42, currently has the nation's second longest winning streak in women's basketball with 16 wins, and is a mere two games from clinching its first ever Ivy title. Caramanico has substantially impacted the Quakers; just this season she has posted 15 double-doubles, is a four-time Ivy Player of the Week, and has been rapidly closing in on the Ivy all-time scoring title, needing just 29 more points. —Compiled by Darcy Wiecks
