Liverman wins at C.R.A.S.H.-B

On Sun., Feb. 25, the Charles River All-Star Has-Beens (C.R.A.S.H.-B.) Sprints World Indoor Rowing Competition was held at the Reggie Lewis Track and Field Center in Boston, Mass. Andrew Liverman, SM '02, placed first in the Collegiate Lightweight Men's division with a time of 6:14.10 in the 2,000-meter race on the Concept II Model C ergometer. In the overall lightweight division, Liverman placed an impressive fourth behind an Italian National team member and two U.S. National team members. The C.R.A.S.H.-B.'s was created by a group of U.S. Olympic and World Team athletes as a little regatta for some fun during a long winter training season. It quickly evolved into a competitive international rowing championship and now draws many rowers from all levels of competition.
