Ivy wrestlers honored

Following the NCAA wrestling championships in Iowa City, Iowa, Penn's Mike Fickell '01 and Yoshi Nakamura '01 and Cornell's Jim Stanec '01 were honored as All-American wrestlers for the 2000-2001 season. Nakamura and Fickell led Penn to a 20th-place finish overall, and Cornell followed close behind, finishing 28th. The Harvard and Princeton teams rounded out the Ivy League teams participating, with 37th and 56th place finishes, respectively.

 

Welcome to the Frozen Four

The inaugural NCAA Frozen Four women's hockey championships begin this weekend in Minneapolis. The top seeds from the Eastern and Western regions will compete, in addition to two teams that were chosen at-large. The Ivy League is well represented, with both Harvard and Dartmouth competing. The Big Green (26-3-1), ECAC and Ivy League champions, compete against St. Lawrence (23-7-3), while Harvard (23-9) faces Minnesota (26-5-4).
