Around the Ivies

Women's hockey inaugural Final Four

The Harvard women's hockey team upended top-seeded Dartmouth 3-2 in the consolation game of the first NCAA Women's Hockey Championship and took third place in the tournament in Minneapolis on Sun., Mar. 25.

With the win, the Crimson finished the season with a 24-10 record, while Dartmouth ended a stellar year with two straight losses and a 26-5-1 mark. The two teams faced each other four times this season with each team winning twice.

Harvard forward and Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award winner Jennifer Botterill '02 did not notch a point for the first time in her career, ending a streak of 80 games in which she tallied a goal or assist.

Tigers on the prowl

Princeton men's lacrosse continued its rampage through the Ivy League with a 19-8 win over the Penn Quakers, bringing their Ivy victory streak to 33. The Tigers have now beaten the Quakers 12 straight times.
