Around the Ivies

The Ivy League released the names of the 80 student-athletes selected to the Academic All-Ivy team from winter sports teams. Each school nominates five men and five women, all of whom are starters or major contributors with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Among those honored by the league were Yale athletes Helen Liu, MC '02, Caitlin Bair, TD '02, Susan Cooke, BK '03, Ashley Campion, BK '01, Andrea Wolf, JE '03, George Gleason, TC '01, Daniel Senft, PC '03, Ben Stafford, BR '01, Cameron Hill, TD '02, and Greg Palumbo, TC '03.

Greener Pastures

Dartmouth's men's golf coach Bill Johnson is retiring on Sat., Jun. 30 after 34 years of coaching the Big Green. Johnson is only the second men's golf coach at Dartmouth in 79 years and also serves as the head pro at the college-owned Hanover Country Club, as President of the 48-school Northeastern Intercollegiate Golf Association, and as the Dean of the Ivy League golf coaches.
