Tennis

In late May, Steve Berke, MC '03, became the first wildcard to reach the quarterfinals of the NCAA tennis tournament, defeating two seeded players before falling to the eventual champion. A Herald look back at Berke's path to the quarterfinals:


First Round: def. Dane McGregor 6-3, 6-1
Second Round: def. Genius Chidzikwe 6-2, 6-2
Third Round: def. Alex Hartman 6-3, 6-1
Quarterfinals: lost to Matias Boeker 3-6, 4-6

Baseball

Jon Steitz, CC '02, was selected in the third round of last spring's Major League Baseball amateur draft. The stats which propelled Steitz from Yale Field to the Brewers' farm system:

Crew
