Men's Cross-Country

The team finished an impressive eighth out of 29 teams at the elite Great American X/C Festival, held in Rock Hills, S.C. on Fri., Sept. 21. Captain Alexis Surovov, SM '02, was the 39th runner and first Yalie to cross the finish line in a field of 264 runners.

Sarah Driscoll, TC '05, earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors after scoring goals against Cornell and Fairfield. She currently leads the team in points with five (two goals, one assist).

Men's Soccer

After losing its opening contest of the season to Harvard on Sat., Sept. 8, the men's soccer team has turned around to win three in a row. During that winning streak, they defeated University of Rhode Island , ranked No. 16 in the nation, and UAB, ranked eighth. UAB had not allowed a single goal in the four games preceding their 2-1 overtime loss to the Bulldogs.

Andrew Dealy, DC '05, was named Ivy Rookie of the Week after scoring twice during the team's three-game winning streak and earning a spot on the all-tournament team at the Yale-Fila Classic. Brian Roberts, SY '04, was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament for his stalwart defense and assist on the Eli's game-winning overtime goal against UAB.

Women's Golf

Yale hosted its annual invitational tournament from Fri., Sept. 21 to Sun., Sept. 23. The Bulldogs finished first out of 17 teams in the tourney, led by Captain Sarah Seo, TD '02, Anna Jepson, TD '05, and Stephanie Wei, TC '05. The top five teams, in the order that they finished:

1. Yale

2. Brown

3. Rollins

4. Georgia State

5. Princeton
