Star returns to the spotlight

After a seven-year struggle through the NFL, ex-Dartmouth star Jay Fiedler '94, is finally getting noticed by football fans nationwide. This week, he will be gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated, triumphantly thrusting his hand into the air after scoring a touchdown. While at Dartmouth, Fiedler led his Big Green teammates to back-to-back Ivy championships in '91 and '92 and holds the school record for most pass completions (456) and attempts (813), touchdowns (58), and passing yards (6,684).

A place in Brown history

Brown wide receiver Chas Gessner '03 pulled down 19 catches for 269 yards against Rhode Island, shattering the old Brown record for reception yards by 48. He currently leads the nation with 15 catches and 243 yards per game. For his performance, he was named Ivy League offensive player of the week and the Sports Network NCAA Division I-AA Player of the Week.
