Ezra Stiles

The Moose was off to a hot start this week, as men's football, co-ed football, and men's soccer all grabbed victories from TD. The momentum will surely continue with the cross-country race, seeing as we won it last year. Ben "I hope you like"-jamin Lindy '03 will seek to defend his IM cross-country crown.

The soccer team rebounded from a tough skid, registering two wins and a tie in the past three games. In a tandem rivaled only by Page and Plant, goalies Carl Warsaw "Pact" '05 and Bobby "I look startlingly at home in my Vermont hunting hat" Womack '04 have been used in rotation, giving opposing offenses fits. In addition, last week saw what could be the equivalent of hell freezing over: both Craig "I" Felt "dirty after what I did to your mother" '03 and Ed "I'm not related to former Secretary of Transportation Frederico" Pena '02 took to the soccer field. They both had a glide in the stride and a dip in the hip. In further soccer news, it was recently discovered that certain members of the Saybrook (boo) soccer team have the indecency to have nicknamed a Stiles soccer player "The Terrorist." If that's not totally tasteless, I don't know what is.

Ping-pong rebounded from a rocky start to gather in points against both JE and TD. The men's football team scored 63 points against TD to remain undefeated, after scoring 45 the game before (that's 108 in two weeks, for those of you at home). One could fill volumes with praise for the men's football team, but they'll probably let their championship-clinching win at the end of the season against their favorite college speak for itself. The coed football team played without sufficient players for much of the TD game, but managed to claw out a gutsy victory. Women! We need you to come out for women's soccer. Get outside, enjoy the crisp fall air, stop stressing about midterms, and play some kickball.

(Compiled by someone who's definitely not a terrorist).
