Morse

Midterms hit the Morse IMs hard this past week. But just like Vanilla Ice, we're never done and we come back twice as scary the next time. Don't let a sluggish week deceive you: we're still in the hunt for the Tyng. In the words of the immortal Kenny Mayne, Morse "rocks the party that rocks the piñata."

Yaw "Nuno is my God" Adjei-Poku '04 ran back an interception with two plays left in the game Tuesday to tie a stunned Davenport men's squad. Tony "Toni Tone" Daggett '05 assisted on the scoring play. On the coed side, the Sexplex Crew '02 joined Julia "Cool as the other side of the pillow" Strasser '05, Ali "Must be butter 'cuz she's on a roll" Oliva '05, Kelly "Not the Ketchup" Heintz '04, and Kaitlyn "Can you write up the IM blurb, it's due in 20 minutes" Gumpper '03.

Soccer lost its first game in three years against Trumbull as we played with only nine guys. We then tied two in a row against Saybrook and D-port. Freshmen Peter "Not a player but he crushes a lot" Forrest and Diego "En Fuego" Rotalde are making sure that Morse will have some power in the midfield for years to come. Chris "Frank wannabe" Wheeler '04 made his return to IMs after a week-long "male bonding" trip.

So we're gearing up to finish the fall season strong. This past week was just an attempt to lull everyone else into a false sense of confidence. Here's a warning to all the other colleges in the words of ESPN guru Dan Patrick: "You can't stop Morse, you can only hope to contain it." And we're not going to be contained.
