Around the Ivies

Dazed and confused

Princeton's Spencer Gloger '03 is transferring again. Gloger originally signed with UCLA in 1999 to provide an already deep Bruins basketball squad with a more potent perimeter attack. However, he chose to matriculate at Princeton instead. After only one year with the Tigers, he transferred to UCLA and sat out the 2000 season as a transfer athlete. But, another change of heart prompted Gloger to return to Princeton this year, where he will concentrate on academics and not play basketball.

Clutch scoring

Princeton's Rachael Becker '03 was named ECAC co-player of the week and Ivy League player of the week in field hockey after leading the Tigers to three victories. She tallied the game-winning goal in a 3-2 decision over Delaware and came up big again against UConn, scoring two goals, including the game winner. Against Brown, she was able to notch her fourth goal of the week, as the Tigers trounced the Bears 4-1. Becker has scored six goals for the Tigers this season.
