Around the Ivies

Tiger smokes competition

David Nugen '02, a forward on Princeton's soccer team, represented for all of the Tigers' offense in a 2-1 double overtime victory over Cornell and a 1-1 tie against No. 7 Indiana. The match-up against Cornell saw his third two-goal game of the season, bringing his league-leading total to 10 goals. He also leads the league in shots (58) and points (23). For his performance, he was named the IvyLeagueSports.com Player of the Week for the second time this year.

National recognition

Erin Dromgoole '01, a former Dartmouth runner, was one of 51 athletes honored as NCAA Women of the Year. The award honors one female student-athlete from each state who has excelled in academics, athletics, and community leadership. While at Dartmouth, she earned All-American and Academic All-American honors. During her Ivy career, she earned all-Ivy recognition in track three times and in cross-country twice.
