Silliman

The fall IM season draws to a close and a chill settles over Yale College. Only Silliman remains warm, cheered by the prowess of its intramural athletes. Last week, in this very space, Silliman was saluted by the Herald and pronounced the hottest college on campus.

There was nothing halfway about Silliman's dominance in women's soccer. With their 9-1 record, these fierce females made Yale say uncle. And seizing the standard from Mike MacKenzie's '02 fallen coil, Silliman coed football stormed to the finish line with a 5-6 record, nearly toppling Morse in its final game. Go tell it on the mountain, Heralders: injure a Sillimander, and pay the price!

O Herald! Revert not to thy former ways. For Silliman's hotness, perpetual, extends beyond the IM fields and beyond these evanescent pages. Last week's Herald is nigh forgotten, but there is no need to fear. For the spirit that crowned Silliman with scorching diadem yet lives in the stalwart heart and fierce visage of every Sillimander! Yet I digress, and my time is past. Forget it not: midst the winter winds, the salamander's fire burns brightest. O time, strength, cash, and patience!
