The Good: The Lanman Center was rededicated as the Mroz Center last week after Jeff '05 scored 20-plus points to lead the men's A hoops in a massive romp past Pierson's best, winning 54-41. The regular lineup was supplemented in both numbers and physical strength by Jeff and the other freshmen, Harry Flaster, Don Smith, Nnaemeka Idigo, and Antonio Maldonado. Men's C hoops did a little cleaning for the renaming ceremony, mopping the floor with their opponent behind the skillz of Jeff Lin '04, Gregory Greenberg '03, Nate Meyvis '05 and C-hoopsters. Women's volleyball set the stage for the ceremony. Their victory chants could be heard all the way from the gym to Old Campus, as freshmen Lauren Jones, Lauren Witte, Leigh Miller, Amy Seese, Vanessa Resnick, and annexed junior Isabelle Chumfong made their way back to their dorms.

The Bad: (But getting better!) The players ranged from Captain Jon Schoenfeld '02 to Sahm Adrangi '03 to Josh Rodriguez '04 to David Schoenfeld '05, but the B hoops team still had one thing in common: they couldn't put the ball in the hoop in the second half of their game and lost by three. Women's hoops kept the net busy until the final minutes of the game, but were beaten by one in the last seconds of the contest. Men's volleyball was led by Tim Ito '02 and came back from a 14-6 deficit to win the second match, but even a stadium full of fans chanting "Rudy" couldn't help them pull out the final match. Some spiders showed up at David S. Ingalls Rink led by Joey "But my friends who know me best, know me as the (stinking) Doctor" Cristofaro '02 and had a good second and third periods, but they were not able to make up for the damage done in the first period. The Ugly: Did we mention that we were playing Pierson?
